Thread: Am I crazy?

  1. #31
I was wondering about that too Monica! Chris, everyone will be pouring over your final pic when you post it.

Though I have stitched much over the last twenty six (I think) years, I have never done a solid picture like this. I am working the top row of seven pages of my GK flowers all at once, so if I do get any cut off lines it will only be at the bottom of the pages. I might get round that by carrying on down to the next page a bit. I haven't decided yet.

I'm not brave enough to stitch full pages in case I get lines I stitch about half of the last column of stitches then pritt stick my next page against the previous one. Once I'm past the page edges I just chop of the pattern then I'm not messing with reams of paper. I do the same with the ends of pages and touch wood its worked well so far

I use q-snaps and really like them - and I should have read your post properly, you did say which one lol. Its LOVELY and I adore chickens :-D
And Im now in awe of you, Rachelecm, I can't stitch without a frame unless its plastic canvas. And to answer your question, Monica, Ive just finished a tiny project, Im hoping to start a HAED ...then if I survive that, I will start on my Golden Kite one (I couldnt resist, it was unusual and a good friend of mine is a geologist - its "Crystallised Minerals" (http://www.goldenkite.com/e107_files...0_minerals.jpg). But I only look it at the moment!

I don't have problems with lines, I stitch one color at a time and if it carries over to the next page I stitch until the thread runs out or the stitches end. So it never really ends in a straight line, works good for me.

Anna, I stitch like Angela does, one color at a time. When I am close to the next page, I just make sure i stitch some colors into it so as not to have it all end in the same place at the end of a page.
