ID:	1086 One of my Christmas presents this year was a GK pattern! I was only a few months into my first GK pattern, but I couldn't wait to start this one also - so I'll be going back and forth. This pattern reminds me of my sisters and I - we also each have a unique hair color, just like these sisters! This pattern is 500x421 - 210,500 stitches! I'm working it on 18 count aida cloth.

ID:	1087I participated in my first GK stitch-along with this pattern - starting from square one. It was the large, holiday SAL, so this is how much I finished during that two weeks - despite a round of stomach flu in our house. Once I get my Princesse to a good stopping point on her face, I'm looking forward to returning to this pattern to fill in more of this first girl.

Hello Viliana, and welcome to GK!

Sarah, you have made a great start! How special this will be, reminding you of your sisters and yourself. It will be a pleasure to watch you work on it.

It is a great design, Sarah. Especially if it reminds you of your sisters. It must be a real pleasure to stitch.

Sarah - I love pictures that have personal meaning before you even start stitching! You have made a great start and I will really enjoy watching this one grow as it is one of my favorites too!

Welcome Viliana to GK. We hope to see more posts from you as we get to know you! Are you working on a GK project too?

    Sarah,

What a beautiful Christmas Gift this pattern is. It makes it so much more meaningful to stitch a pattern when it gives memories to you. You have a very nice start!!

Welcome Viliana , happy to see you and are you stitching on Golden Kite pattern?

I started a crazy system in January, where I'll work on a complete 10 square of a pattern before moving on. I will continue on with each color until the end of the thread, section or page, depending on the pattern and the mood I'm in. :P But, when the 10 square is done, I'll move on to another pattern. I actually have threads pulled for all 9 of my GK patterns (3 are not even started yet). I pulled out my WIPs and did a new 10 square on each of them before starting a new pattern yesterday. I don't have very much time to stitch - maybe an hour or two every week, so I want to be able to see progress, but I also want to play with each of my pretty patterns! So, this seems like a fun way to combine both things. It also seems like a fun way to push through all the "boring" background sections at the top of each pattern. I just took pictures of the 5 WIPs I've worked on in the past month or so, but I hope to post more current updates on each of my threads as I finish each 10 square.
