Description by Marcus, GK

It took me a long time to send you my pictures for the WIP-Gallery from the
large version of Garden of Love (Rubens). But finally I have finished the
first row and I want to share my happiness about this great design with you
(and all your fans who love cross-stitch).

I´ve started it on the 12. June 2004. It is stitched on 18 ct. Aida
What you can see on the pictures is the first row - 16 pages. It took me 514
Right now I´m stitching on page 20, but I don´t have new pictues yet.
The progress is very slow, as I have a hudge rotation with another very big
design of "Unicorn desings" (which does no more exist, the design is called
Portrait of a Princess, a painting of Joseph Stieler) and some Teresa
Wentzlers (Foodprints and English Garden Sampler) and other WIP´s.
But it´s always a great fun to come back to Garden of Love. It turns out so
nice!!! More than the pictures can tell.
So in every part of the rotation I do two pages of it.
I don´t know whenever I will finish it, but I love every hour stitching it!

About me:
I´m 44 years old, live in the beautiful south of Germany - at Munich. I work
full-time, what takes too much time from my stitching-time!
I have learned stitching by my mother, when I was a little child. I stopped
it and came back to it, when I saw the first desings of Teresa Wentzler
about 25 years ago (by the way, you must know that Germany was and still is
a cross-stitch dessert! You couldn´t find nice desings in the needlework
shops - but the internet is heaven!). Since then I´m addicted!
But my very great wish was always to stitch one of the great paintings! And
goldenkite made this wish come true! How I love those desings. And there are
still many, many on my list to order. But for now, I have to stitch!

Thank you very much for all those lovely desings! And have a nice weekend!
Many greetings from Munich
