Here's my latest update, this is a huge pattern and it'll take a while to finish. I've just started another sheet and there are only three more after this one till the end of the row and so before I start another pattern I'll finish this row first. The picture is just of the mountain there is a hugh tree to the left, I'll get it next time.http://www.goldenkite.com/e107_files/public/1300202358_337_FT0_dscn0805_.jpg (http://www.goldenkite.com/e107_files/public/1300202358_337_FT0_dscn0805.jpg)

Lucette, very nice. I just had a look for it in the store - it is huge but it will be beautiful when completed. The tree will make an interesting change for you from stitching the mountain. It will be lovely.

Thank you all for your nice words! The mountain is actually nice to stitch. I am looking for a break from the sky though, half or more of each page is still sky, but I'm almost done the row!

Thank you very much everyone! It's nice to see it in a picture with the tree and mountain, makes all the sky worth it! Just nice to get rid of the big and tedious parts first before you get to the details. At least I think so. And that sky was BIG!

Lucette,
I had not realized how big your pattern was till I went to see the actual picture of it on the GK here. Its a huge one!!

I agree, its nice to get the boring part of it done first , so to speak and then the fun part comes. You have had alot of patience doing this sky!!!

Lucy :)

Thank you Lucy! I just kept telling myself one page at a time, that's it, don't look at the rest of the pages! Just one at a time!

Very great work, Lucette. When did you start this pattern?

Lucette
04-04-2011, 04:25 PM
Thanks Lucy and Helen. Berit, I started this pattern about three years ago. I was working on another at the same time so sometimes I didn't touch this pattern for months at a time.

Berit, I started this pattern about three years ago.

For some of my works I also need some more time (years). Nice to know that I'm not the only one who is a bit slowly..... ;)

Michelle W

I also have some that are years in the making. I think I will try the one page at a time routine and see if that helps me get to completion faster.

Tremendous stitching on this whole row of pages, Lucette. I love the white clouds in the sky, the fine detail of the tree branches and leaves on the left, the color variations in the mountains and tree branches on the right. And now on to a new row of pages. Exciting for you, and for us.

I am also working on 1663 it's a very lovely and big map. Also Marcus made a chart for me years ago from a painting by Antonio Ciseri called Ecce Homo which translate to behold the man. This is the one that I am working on now. If you google the name and title you will see the picture. I don't know how to paste a link sorry!

WendyLee
03-19-2017, 05:16 PM
I love that map Lucette! We had a stitcher who hasn't been on in quite some time due to family issues, who was quite far along on this one. Your Ciseri painting is beautiful! I'll follow your progress with great interest.
